Autumn Came & Went While I Was Busy

Wow, it's almost December. It's been a busy five months since the last time I blogged. I didn't post all the homes I've tried decorating since then because I lacked time or inspiration. It didn't help that I was out of the country for most of September. So, anyway, enough of me giving excuses let's get to blogging.

But first here's what I left for my neighbors to see in September after I took the beach down. I knew I didn't have time to decorate an entire house, so I thought I'd have some fun with a quick campground. I used my saved shoreline decor and trees so that made it even easier.

Camp Raynee: The campers are from Kraftwork, Floorplan, and Hive. The truck is from [Con.] and the roads are HPMD.

This house is another Scarlett Creative; she's been having some great sales as part of the Saturday Sale promotion. This is the Westland Cottage. It's a cute little one-room cabin with a loft and a built-in bed. I switched out the parcel decor to all autumn colors and put in a creek. The outdoor stuff is a mix of trees from Skye, Fundati, and Little Branch. I have shrubbery from HPMD and the creekbed is from Organica. The grasses are from KIDD mostly and the bridge is from Sway.

Since it's a single room you might think it's easier to decorate, but you really have to work to figure out how to fit everything in the space available. The built-in bed helped quite a bit.

I think I managed to make it a cozy place that I'd like to live in RL. I like the rustic look the house has and a lot of the furniture I tend to buy really works with this style. As usual, most of my furniture is from Apple Fall & Nutmeg, with the decor stuff from all sorts of places.

Last, there were two little loft areas to decorate. I didn't really do much with the smaller one, but the other one made a great place to hang out and watch movies or play games.

So, that's my autumn post. I hope you enjoyed my photos. I think I'll probably be heading up to a sky platform for a winter post, as the sim I live on doesn't do winter and I'm not sure I want to mess with trying to overcome the green all around my parcel for photos. We'll see.
